Default pebble tec plaster or not?

I have a fiberglass pool. I want to use pebble tec to refinish the pool. I was told pebble tec has plaster in the cement to make it watertight/leakproof. Another contractor said there is no plaster in Pebble tec. Which one is right? Is Quart scape just as good as Pebble tec? Choosing a contractor is getting to be a pain My pool is L shaped and 35 thousand gallons.

    Thanks for any help

Are you sure it's fiberglass pool? 35 thousand gallons is pretty big I'm not sure Fiberglass pools come that big. I've never heard of any kind of plaster over fiberglass.

The fiberglass gets chopped out. Then I think the pebble tec goes over the gunite. Does Pebble tec have plaster in it? I heard that it is not supposed to have plaster. Which person is right? If the cement/ pbbel tec does not have some plaster in it would not the cement absorb the water and leak out the sides?

    Default pebble sheen or fina

I want to change over to pebble tec. Which type is finer in grit the sheen or fina? Has any one in this forum have the luminus finish. I heard it reflects colors. How is the price for luminus?

Also, what do you look for when hiring a pool contractor to refinish a pool. I had estimates by 3. 2 had the same opinion using plaster with pebble tec. 1 said plaster is not used in pebble tec. I am sort of stuck in a way.
