I just set up and filled my Intex 18' x 48" above-ground pool. I have an Intex Krystal Clear cartridge filter pump Model 635T, along with an Intex Krystal Clear Saltwater System Model CS7110. The saltwater system manual said to add the correct amount of salt (I added 160 lb), then only turn the regular filter pump on, and wait 24 hours for the salt to dissolve before turning on the salt water system pump. While filling, before the water level even reached the jet from the pump, my water was already a clear, but green color. Should I have followed the guidelines for the bleach and Borax set up guidelines, even though I am using a saltwater system? Is it too late to do that? Should I treat my green water using the bleach/Borax now? Or try and wait 24 hrs. Then run the Boost cycle on the saltwater system like it says? I just know how fast that "bad can turn to worst" in short 24 hr. time span when dealing with a green pool, so I want to get ahead of it, NOT 24 hours behind it.
