Black algae and Round Up

I'm drainig my pool for leak repairs and it has some black algae,if I spray it down good while dry with Round Up will that kill it?

No.

What will help with black algae is anything that smooths the surface: refinishing, painting, etc. (NOT: acid washing!)

Spraying the pool with bleach will kill what's on the surface, but black algae grows down into porous plaster and cracks.
