My skimmer cracked so we decided to replace the whole skimmer assembly. We have a waterways skimmer. It is an above ground pool. We lowered the water level below the skimmer, took the old skimmer and plates off, and replaced with a new one. When we put the water level back up and turned the pump on water was pouring out from the new skimmer. What did we do wrong and what should we try to fix this?
