    Default Skimmer doors stuck

Both my skimmer doors get stuck. One is stuck permanently open the other gets stuck closed. This is a problem because when the pump is shut off debris comes out into the pool from the one stuck open. The one that sticks closed of course doesnt skim well. Do they doors come off so I could shave down the sides a little?

Not sure what skimmers you have, but many that I have seen, the weir is removable. The ones that I have seen just snap in place with plastic tabs or a spring with plastic ends.

They are not too expensive to replace either (at least around here).
