    Default Wave Tec Pools

Anybody ever hear of this Co. They have a snazzy website but who knows that's all it may be.

They claim to build from TX to GA.

I have heard only bad things about them and know they have been involved in many lawsuits. They have had numerous complaints with the Better Business Bureau. Here is a news clip about them.

Here's a thread on Garden Web's pool forum on Wave Tec. Scroll down to the last post and follow the link for some really choice words about the company.

Check them out at http://search.bbb.org/ Better Business Bureau...

    BBB Definition:

This file condition results when the company has failed to resolve or respond to complaints, repeatedly failed to respond or resolve issues in a timely manner, failed to resolve the underlying issues for a pattern

of complaints, failed to honor their commitment to mediate or arbitrate disputes or honor mediated agreements or arbitrated decisions, failed to substantiate, modify or discontinue false advertising claims that are challenged by the BBB, or failed to discontinue unauthorized use of the BBB name and logo, a Federally protected trademark.

with the Bureau due to a pattern
    BBB Definition:

pattern - More than 2 complaints involving the same allegations usually within 12 months that are significant in relation to the company's size and volume of business.

of complaints and has failed to correct the underlying reason for the complaints.

Consumer complaints received by the Bureau allege poor quality work on pools and pools not completed on time. Company responses indicate there is a nationwide shortage of concrete, completion dates can only be estimated, and some subcontractors have quit unexpectedly causing delays.

On June 14, 2006, the company met with the Bureau to discuss the above-mentioned patterns. The company stated they have implemented changes, including additional customer service staff and subcontractors, to assist them in eliminating these patterns. The company indicated they will continue to work with the Bureau in order to improve these issues.

    Thanks for the quick responses.

We are thinking about building a new house and will want a new pool. I just saw their ad on TV so that's why I posted.

They are apparently a dangerous Company to deal with.

    Thanks for the warnings.
