Hello,
I have a 16X32 IG pool with a light in the deep end ~6'. The pool is 3 years old. I went to replace the T3 lamp on this light and the inside was corroded such that the wire in back of the the electrical socket was sticking out and the small metal ball that the T3 bulb sits on was out and loose. I think the solder that connected the metal ball to its housing broke. Anyway I tried soldering this back together but it did not work. I think I need a new light. Is this doable for a homeowner, the original electrical was done buy a licensed electrician and is up to snuff, GFCI etc. Can some one give me a step by step. What are my options for nichless lighting. I was thinking LED lighting or some sort of energy efficient replacement.
