I guess it really depends on what you can live with, I know nothing about your type of pool and what is involved in the resurfacing, and therefore how perfect you can expect it to be.... but if my blood pressure was going to go up every time I got in the pool because of anger at a job not done right, I would insist that the job be done right! Your pool can't be seen from the PB's house, so he's not gonna worry about it, either...
