Default Polaris 340 does not pivot

Does anyone know the fix for this (it reverses fine but is not pivoting well at all and hence, ends up in the corner). I have removed and checked the readily accessible gears in the power module assembly, and the belts are fine (does not seem to be a reverse - black broken gear problem, much to my dismay). Wheel speed, etc. are fine.

I searched for a thread or sticky but came up empty.

Suspect it is those wheel gears (i think that is the "transmission") and if so, is it serviceable)? Obviously, would like to avoid buying a whole new power assembly.

    Thanks.

What is your water temp? I have a 380, and when the water temp gets below about 65, it doesn't work nearly as well as when the temps are higher. Is it acting sluggish all around, or is the pivoting the only problem you've noticed?
