Air gap behind liner

there is about a half inch gap of air behind the liner in each of my rounded corners. It is very tight against the walls everywhere else.

Is this normal?

Welcome! Do you mean that there is a gap up at the top of the corner, above and at the water line? If so, this is NORMAL for IG vinyl pools. Don't freak. If it extends down the whole length of the corner, I'd call the builder.
