We have owned pools (existing when we bought home) but moved and are now having one built (Nightmare!) I am trying to find out if the overflow pipe is "ok" only being 1/4" buried and ends just wide open. Our older pool overflow emptied into a french type drain w/ pea gravel and then into another pipe tied into it that ended up near flower beds

Also I noticed the pump is not level so I'm assuming the concrete pad isn't, this will affect the pump, correct?
