There's the rub. You have to use a fine mesh basket for this to work, otherwise as you say, it goes to the pool bottom.

yes I do agree that the idea is brilliant...had I been smart I would hve dumped the CYA into a nylon and THEN tossed the nylon into the pool rake.

I have to do my stepson's pool this week as he is having a second birthday party for our grandson. This at least will speed up the process.

He has not maintained his pool properly in 5 years and now wants me to get it ready so our grandson can learn to swim. Good idea as I nearly drowned when I was seven.

One learns so much on this site that is why I love it.
