    Wow, a question with a really, really easy answer: if it's working, don't fix it. I had a terrible experience with those filters in commercial situation, but it sounds like they are working great for you.

    9 years is a pretty good run on a filter cartridge. I have two sets. I use my older set, 7- 9 years old, for start up and change them out after about two weeks. Then my newer cleaner set, will then usually last the rest of my 4-5 month season.

    Halogen pool supply was quite a bit cheaper than my pool company.
