For a variety of reasons, including safety, stick with Intex products. Here's an example from Amazon:

Opps! I ment Intex, sorry about that.
I'm running that intex 4000gph on my 18' intex and I love it (they aren't making it anymore though, so you might have to look around for a good deal.) Also, I'm not sure if the 24' comes with a skimmer, but if not I would get one of those too (makes life much easier.)
I appreciate all the great responses, but I was wondering if I could use something better than an Intex brand filter(I'm tired of rinsing the paper filters 3x week, and then replacing them after that, this is the only way I get good suction at my skimmer, and good flow out my output into the pool). I see lots of sand, cartridge, DE filters for sale on craigslist. Also, can I use an IG style filter for my AG pool, or would I be better off with an AG type? Thanks!
