What wide mouth skimmer to get

I am looking for a new wide mouth skimmer. What do you recommend?

Only because I've installed and worked on hundreds of them (as opposed to the couple dozen of other brands) - Hayward SP 1085 would be my choice.

What makes this one better than the others? I looked on Haywards site and it wasnt there.

What is the best way to replace the skimmer? The gasket is almost glued to the liner it seems like.

Nothing makes it better, as far as you're concerned

I like them only because I'm more familiar with them - I'm sure what Jandy or Pentair make are just as good, however- I'd be dubious of ' Joe's Brand'

I have a basic 24' AG pool.

OK, lower the water below the skimmer and take off the faceplate of the skimmer you have to a pool store and have them identify it. Once you know which brand/ model will match up with your pool you can either buy one from the pool store or order one on-line and wait for it to show up on your doorstep.
