To add to the above, don't know the diameter of your roller but the clips Watermom was talking about were cut from 1.5" pipe, as she said, about an inch wide. Then cut out a small section, maybe 30 degrees of angle. That will spring over a 1.5" diameter pipe. PVC can bend a lot so it's like a spring clip. Use a pipe diameter to match your roller diameter. If you need to stretch it some, PVC softens in boiling water so you can open it up and let it cool.

Thank you, but I think I may have been misunderstood by my post. My problem is that my water is still 67 degrees so we cannot get in the pool to connect the blanket to roller and we want to attach our new blanket to the roller. Our space is limited on the deck so we were thinking of removing the blanket from the pool and lay it out on our lawn and then attach straps to the roller and carry it back assembled to pool. Problem is we lost the roller strap attaching instructions and not sure how to do this, so we may wing it,lol
