Can pool be safe to swim in with some black algae in walls if water is super clear? Will Polyquat help clear it up?

It depends on your chlorine levels and your stabilizer (CYA) level Post your chlorine, pH and CYA levels and we can tell you.

Algae by itself is not dangerous. But if it's there, your chlorine will attack it, consuming some of it, or all of it. The levels will tell us.

Polyquat probably won't clear it but when it's gone, will keep it from coming back.

The BEST thing to do is shock the pool and keep shocking it, and brush the pool to knock the algae loose.
