In ground cleaning system

hello,
i have an in ground cleaning system by a&a manufacturing with gamma 3 pop up heads. the heat exchange in my aquacal heater has cracked 2x's in 5 years. auquacal states it's a problem caused by water hammering from the in ground cleaning systems. has anyone else experienced this problem or have had similar problems with aquacal?
