Default adding stabilizer with Kreepy Krawley connected to skimmer

The directions say to add it slwoly into the skimmer. How do I do that? I ahve a kreepy krawley thing. DO I unhook the howe and remove the center section and pour the stabilizer in? I got one of those filter basket cloth filters. Do I remove it first? When I asked at the pool supply place about simply running the filter without the center secttio that holds the hose, the manager said to not do that--apparently I have to purchase a different center piece that reduces the amount of water flowing into the filter basket. So How do I add the stabilizer, and just how slow is slow? Thanks.
CAN I safely run the pump without the center section all the time (no kreepy krawler hose attached and in place) or do I really need the reducer for it? Thanks.

For now, pour the CYA (stabilizer) into and old sock, knot it, and hang it in front of a return.

Regarding the Kreepy Krawley, take pictures of the skimmer, hose, your pool, and your pump and filter. Mail them to poolforum AT gmail DOT com. I don't understand what your dealer told you, but with pics I, or someone else, can probably figure it out.
