Re: Inground pool light question
Unless there is a leak in the conduit, there is no need for any kind of sealant on the conduit inside the niche. Generally, if you find anything like caulk in the conduit, it will be epoxy. I deal with this all the time when trying to replace a light. Most of the time I have had to drain the pool in order to carefully drill the epoxy out with out damaging the conduit so that a new light can be pulled through. If the pool doesn't leak, don't put anything there.

Re: Inground pool light question
Thanks....when I get a new gasket for my light, am I supposed to use any caulk, gasket sealant or lube on the new gasket to help it seal better?
