Default Shock forms a white cloud...

Any idea as to what causes a white cloud to form when liquid shock hits the water?

what chemical is liquid shock? bleach?

If it is, a white cloud probably means you have high calcium with high pH and high alkalinity. But you'll have to test to see. If you want to take care of your own pool economically and effectively, you need to get a K2006 or 2006C. Amazon links in my sig for that purpose . . .
