Going on Vacation - how to maintain CL level?

Been using bleach as need about every other day. but going away for a week and not sure how to maintain my CL level. I do not have a chlorinator, should I just put about 4 tablets into the skimmer basket?

What you can do is get a floater or two and put tabs in them. I like to cover the pool and place the floater(s) at strategic locations. But how much depends on lots of factors.

I wouldn't put them into the skimmer basket unless you're planning on running your pump 24/7 while you're gone. I would shock the pool, and then put tabs into a floater on the night before you leave.
