Cool Dry acid vs Muratic acid

I have a fiberglass, 15k gallon, in ground pool. I have for years used liquid muratic acid but on a recent trip to a pool store the clerk informed me that muratic acid was bad for my pool and I should switch to dry acid (sodium bisulfate) which they could sell me at a much higher price than muratic. Is there any merit to this clerk's claims. I follow BBB method and pool is clear with no obvious problems or signs of muratic acid damage.
