    Default swim after muriatic acid

After adding a gallon of liquid muriatic acid, how long should I wait before swimming?

Assuming you put it into the return stream, I would wait at least two hours to make sure you don't get into "pockets" of concentrated acid. Also, I'd check your pH after a couple of hours to make sure it's still in the 7.0-7.8 range...

Just out of curiosity, how big is your pool? A gallon of acid at one time seems like a lot for most residential pools unless you are dealing with brand new plaster.

indeed it is. I actually put in a quart. In my original post I mistakenly typed "gallon." Good catch.
