I have a Polaris 380, and the only time I experienced the steady stream of water from the backup valve, a new one fixed the problem. It only takes a tny crack to cause a problem--have you inspected the new one to make sure it wasn"t alreadycracked or damaged in some way when you bought it?
Hi Janet,
It came in a factory sealed bag, packaged well in the shipping box with plenty of air packing. I can't imagine it was already broken. I'm wondering if it could be a pressure thing, as in too much pressure? I don't know how to check for that. Still searching ...
I would think that if pressure were the problem, it would neverhave worked correctly in the first place. Have you tried calling Polaris and see what they suggest? I'll be interested to hear what the issue is....
