    Like Ted, I, too, prefer mesh. I've had a mesh cover that has lasted now 8 seasons and will go at least a ninth.

    As for anchors, I presume you have to hammer-drill into the concrete and put the retractable concrete type in. There's a type for wood decks as well that I use, plus a special edge type that seems to be unique to FantaSea and Kayak pools.

    But Ted's advice will be far more valuable than mine.

    I have an automatic undertrack pool safety cover from Pool Covers, Inc. My pool is shown with the cover open



    and closed



    (we now have a dark blue cover instead of the tan one shown in the photo). However, this particular company appears to service only northern California.
