gibraltar pool deck

I have an above ground 18x20 rectangular gibraltar pool with a cracked vinyl clad plywood deck that goes around the pool. i want to remove the plywood pieces and replace them with trexs or other decking. Can the peices be removed with out draining the pool? or can I paint the deck with marine deck paint and glue down the boards over the exiswting deck HELP because gibraltar and Wilkes ( who makes the deck) will not give me nay information they want me to pay them 6000 for a new deck.
