    I can't recommend a robot, but I will suggest that you get an in-line leaf basket. My pool cleaner is vacuum operated, not electrical, and it will not climb anything, but the in-line leaf basket keeps tons of leaves out of the filter.
    If you can afford a swimming pool and computer, you can probably afford to help keep the PoolForum alive. Please be a responsible member and subscribe today. You'll probably save more than the membership fee on your first trip to the pool store. BTG

    If you go the Polaris route, stay with the 280, the orifice is bigger and it is a little more economical in the beginning...
