need new filter.any suggestion

well my filter took a dump,I have a 18x33 abover ground pool with a jacuzzi 1 HP pump this is a two speed.please give me any input on what type of filter i
should buy.will a 100 lb sand filter do the job,or should I buy a 200 lb sand filter.thats love this site

I have read on this forum that big filters are the way to go

consider putting zeobrite in it instead of sand

i would suggest a 200 lb. i have a pool that's 18 x 30 so pretty close to the size of yours and the 200 lb size works great for me. re: the zeobrite, if you go that route, you'd need 100 lb (it's half the weight of sand for same capacity) and filters smaller particles than sand.
