Default Solar Cover Thickness, Reel Quality, Solar Panels

Sorry if this has been covered already but I looked around and could not find a thread.

I'm needing to heat my 23'x40' pool and think I should start with a solar cover and reel. Looks like the Rocky's 24' 5A is a solid product. Would love to hear if anyone has had experience with that reel.

I'm also curious what thickness cover I should get, is thicker better for heat retention or is it just a matter of durability?

I'm also thinking about getting solar panels and would like to know if they would be a good solution for a large pool, 45,000 gallons or if a heat pump is the way to go.

Hi vector, and welcome to the forum!

I don't know if that particular cover has been discussed around the forum, but I know that solar panels have been. Try using the Google search link in my sig and see if that gives you any useful results while you're waiting for other responses.
