Anybody here on a cool pond forum?

Boy....lots of "green" trouble with my pond. If I could find a pond solution that has been as easy as the BBB method I'd really be set!

Do you mean decorative- type ponds like koi ponds, or fishing ponds?

Yes....a koi pond.... 1400 gal. Have had a terrible time keeping it clear.

Yeah, mine is 1100 gallons, had it for 8 years, and they are tough to keep clear. The first several years I just had the company that put it in come and power wash it for me--they removed all the fish and plants, powerwashed the whole thing, replanted the plants and cleaned filters, etc....but as the ponds became more popular it became harder and harder to get them to schedule a visit. Finally stopped doing this every year, and now have finally gotten the right combination of fish/plants that it stays pretty clear. A couple of years ago I had a tough time with string algae, but I found an algaecide that actually works well without killing my fish--have you tried Algaefix by PondCare? It worked well for me...
