Bought a used above ground pool and there is no bottom track??????

I bought a used above ground pool and during disassembly realized it does not have a bottom track. They had dirt around all sides of it and the upright support posts have a small track on them. They told me it was a penguin brand pool, but I have not found anything about them online. Should this pool have a bottom track? Has anyone heard of penguin pools before? It has a deck that is made for the pool and is incorporated into the construction of the pool.
