    Default Afraid to shock new liner

    What is the highest safe level of chlorine that will not fade a liner. I just had a new liner put in and I would hate to have it fade. Shocking is making me a little nervous.

    Also doe anyone know how long it takes to receive test kit refills. I ordered in middle of April and have not seen them yet.

    Thanks

    Safe shock level depends on your CYA (stabilizer) level. Test your water to determine your present CYA level and you can find your corresponding recommended shock and maintenance levels on the 'Best Guess Table" below.

    Stabilizer . . . . . . Min. FC . . . . Max FC . . . 'Shock' FC
    => 0 ppm . . . . . . . 1 ppm . . . . . 3 ppm . . . . 10 ppm
    => 10 - 20 ppm . . . . 2 ppm . . . . . 5 ppm . . . . 12 ppm
    => 30 - 50 ppm . . . . 3 ppm . . . . . 6 ppm . . . . 15 ppm
    => 60 - 90 ppm . . . . 5 ppm . . . . . 10 ppm . . .. 20 ppm
    => 100 - 200 ppm . . . 8 ppm . . . . . 15 ppm . . .. 25 ppm
