    Default Pool Pilot Temp.

I installed an Auto Pilot Digital 48 yesterday. The temperature says 85 but it is barley 85 outside. This morning it was showing 79 but quickly rose to 85. The water feels very cold, so cold that I have not even been in yet. It seems to me that the temperature part of the system is not correct. Is this normal?

    Jamie,

Do you have a heater that might be on? Typical heater water coming out is about 7 - 10 degrees warmer than the pool water...even higher for a solar system with full exposure to sunlight.

With the manifold plumbed after the heater, this increase in water temp may be registering by the temp sensor.

If not heater, how much difference in water temp is there? What are you using to compare the Digital's temp readout, and the pool water readout?

I do not have a heater. Alos, I will have to buy something to test the water temp.
