Default New Guy - Question on Wall Foam

Putting in a 24 ft above ground.
Do I really need the wall foam? We live in Indiana.
I am buying the bottom pad along with the preformed pool cove already.
Does one of the box stores sell the same thing instead of buying it off of ebay.
And if so, how readily is it to get the adhesive?
    Thanks again for the help.

Do you mean behind the liner on the actual walls? I've never had that and don't think most people have it on their pools. I have always had the pad on the bottom underneath the liner and the cove. That is all you need.

I installed 1/4" wall foam with my pool last year mostly for thermal insulation. Does it work - I have no wat to know, it should. It also makes the walls soft to the touch.
