Dropped alkalinity today
After I got my pool up and running, it was time to drop the Alkalinity numbers. I read the instructions here on how to do that with acid and aeration. Here are my numbers: I started with ALK at 210. I dropped my ph with acid this morning at 08:30 AM and then began aerating. At 12:30 PM, my ph was back up to 7.6 and ALK was down to 170. I added more acid, and at 4:30 pm after more aeration, my ALK is down to about 160. My goal number is 120, and I hope to get there in a few days.
