I don't seem to be able to find the exact filter but he did say it's the large black 'egg' shaped one - So I assume it's the oval and not the round one.

No kidding! We're going in person this weekend, the owner knows his stuff... will be nice to bypass Bubba pool boy.
With the 2 speed pump... would you run it on Iow most of the time for filtering and just use on high for vacuuming?
We are leaning towards doing the pool (yeah) but waiting on the swcg and just doing bbb in the meantime. Decided we'd rather sink the 1k in deck lumber than the swcg for now. That puts us at 3999 for pool pkg and 975 installation.
