Rattle in system

I hear a random rattling sound in either the control valve or filter (Heywood sand). Any ideas?

could this be caused by a bad gasket in control valve?

I've occasionally had sounds that might have been described as a "rattle", but the only cause I can recall that occurred more than 1x was a piece of gravel or something of the kind. I'm NOT saying that's your problem; I'm just saying "a random rattling sound" doesn't point me in any relevant directions.
