Intex metal frame 14x 42inch. The hydo flocc i put in has cleared the water up very nice, but the rusty 'clouds' are on the bottom of the pool. I have been running the filter steady and have been flushing out the filter often. I took the surface skimmer off the bracket and put it at the bottom of the pool. It worked great for the area that it could reach. I might rig up a longer plastic hose to reach more of the goo. When i have to add water to pool, is there something I can put over the hose to "trap" the metal, and stop it from entering the pool- like a t-shirt or some kind of filter? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like the floc has down what it was supposed to do . . . settle precipitated metals to the bottom. Of course, as you are finding, the next problem is how to get them the settled stuff OUT.

Regarding the fill, a lot of people have used a bunch of nested long cotton athletic sox, or wrapped old towels, with some positive results. What ever you use will be badly stained when you are done.
