    Default New to pool ownership

I recently purchased a home with an in-ground pool that was converted to salt a couple years ago. Every time I have the water checked there is very little or no chlorine. I live in North GA so it can be kind of hot this time of year. How long each day should I run the pumps? The pool sweep is on a mechanical timer and that is the only time it will generate chlorine. Also, how long should a chlorine generator last? it's a Hayward 15... with a three year warrantee...hopefully for than 3 years for the price of them.

Hi, and welcome to the forum!!

We need a little more information before we can give you good advice. Could you please take just a few seconds to fill out this form with your pool info

    Pool Chart Entry Form
    Pool Chart Results

And then post a set of test results, taken with a drop-based test kit (no strips!). Then we have more info available to help you figure out what's going on in your pool.
