Default Fiberstars 6008 Pool Light Hot Mirror bracket assemby

Hi, I just purchased a house with an inground pool that has this type of light. The light was extremely dim. When I took the assembly apart the above mentioned part has three pcs of glass that the bulb shines through before it gets to the optics cables. The middle of the 3 has caked on white material and is broken into 4 pcs. The other 2 glass pcs are clean. Does anyone think it would be ok to run this with only 2? I put it back together to run it tonight to see if it is brighter (surely it has to be, as the buildup was very strong on the pc i took out) thanks

We don't have a lot of folks here with a strong knowledge of those systems. You may want to post at poolspaforum.com.
