Pump won't run after shutting it off.

Hi all,

I have a 2 hp hayward super pump. The pump starts up fine and will runs fine until I shut it off to say backwash, then the pump won't start again until it cools down or sits for a while. There's no humming, buzzing or anything just appears to be dead.

Anything in particular to look at?

Sounds like there may be a failed thermal switch. I would not be too surprised. It's one of the lower cost items in the pump.
