    Okay so I went to a pool store and they said as long as the mesh is intact it should work fine. Installed the nest with the 13 "broken" flextubes and so far it has been working excellently *knock on wood.*

    Do you get temporary 'blowback' of dirty DE thru the return jets when starting the filter after it's been off for a while?
