I usually get those bugs every year the beginning of the season - they do go awayon their own. At least mine did hee hee!

I haven't used one, but many on the forum use a skimmer 'sock' in the basket.
I'd get one of those and vac as normal...that'll prolly catch all the little bugs and other stuff usually missed. We're lucky...we get cottonwood tree fuzz alot and a screen works well too. I just cut a round piece and put it in the basket, so I can remove/clean while pump is running.
I have some of those socks for the skimmer. The little bugs I have float, so vacuuming won't bother them. They seem to be more abundant during the day. Probably seeking relief from 110 degrees in direct sun, and my pump runs at night. Skim them off at night, and their relatives show up the next day. The little buggars are beating me down. LOL Just gotta use the fine-mesh leaf net several times a day if we are in the pool.
Thanks folks,
jeff
