I am currently planning out my Aqualogic chlorinator install and am looking for opinions/suggestions.
I have 2 options for placement of the cell and flow switch as I have 2 pumps and filters on my pool. One pump works the deep end and the other one works the shallow end. Which would be the most beneficial location? The shallow end has 2 skimmers and 2 return lines, the deep end has 1 skimmer and the main drain with 3 returns (see the attached drawing).
I'm thinking of putting the cell and flow switch in the return line of the deep end filter and then pointing return jet #4 (see the attached drawing) into the shallow end.
Can anyone suggest a better configuration? Thanks.

I will give this shot, but it would help if you could repost the drawing to include the horizontal dimensions to get a better feel of the size, or include a picture.
If there is a way to include all the returns, it would be most helpful, but putting the cell on the deep end returns would probably be the best bet at this stage without seeing what you have. As they say, a picture is woth a thousand words.
My Aqua-rite is plumbed just prior to the return. I think you want any bits filtered out so they don't clog up the electrolytic cells. I would put it in the deep end.... but I am not sure it would matter much if the pool is turned over at a regular rate. I am new to pools so I wouldn't base any decision on my advice.
Man, that's a giant pool!! If I were you, I'd just put two cells on it . . . one on each filter. Less use of one cell and that way you know you'll get the chlorine production you need and won't have to worry about cell life as much, and also, you won't have to run one filter longer than the other. I just think, with that size pool, two would be the way to go. AquaLogic? I think they'd advise 2 as well . . . What is your gallonage?
Q. Can I chlorinate a pool larger than 40,000 gallons?
A. Yes, if your pool is larger than the rated 40,000 gallon capacity, additional Aqua Rite Electronic Chlorine Generators can be wired to the filter pump relay. Each Aqua Rite chlorinator will sanitize an additional 40,000 gallons.
-Not sure how you would adjust or monitor each cell independently, but that's a question for them, I'd give them a call if I were you, I hear their customer support is excellent. Again, I think overkill is the way to go with Salt Chlorinators, that way you can run two at 40% output, or whatever it ends up being, instead of 80% on one cell. I researched the AquaRite thoroughly before installing it myself, and I seem to remember them recommending 2 cells for anything 40k and above in all their literature.
