Have a question about pool water

My pool will clear up then it turns green again .I am 300 ft away from chicken houses could this have any thing to do with my pool turning green .I am just wondering because of all the ammonia you know that you have around a chicken house ..Does anyone live around chicken houses and if you do what do you do .thanks

Are you maintaining a steady chlorine level, or are you letting it drop, then shocking again? I doubt the green has as much to do with the chicken houses as it does sporadic attention to your pool water.
