Plaster Caster!!!

was playing in pool w/ the boys yesterday & noticed a hole in the plaster in shallow end , circular hole about 6" across , leads to the gunite I'm guessing , about a 1/4 " down , chipping away everytime I got near it....arggggggggh....I have a 20k gallon IG gunite /plaster ...looks like your typical old white diamondbrite? (white w/ little flakes of shiny stuff) previous owner re-plastered in 1990, so I'm guessing it's time....

I'm guessing I have to drain to repair & I was thinking of going darker bottom or more blue anyway.....Could this water leak through the hole to anywhere dangerous? Wait til swim season is over? what are my options I have no idea! thanks!

& right after I get the darn pool clear!!
