How to fix pool pump leak?

Thanks, that worked but after I did the repair, I noticed another leak inside the pump where there's a rod that spins between the pump motor & basket...
Looks like time for a new pump.

It might be the pump seal based on what you're describing. Something along these lines: http://www.amazon.com/Swimming-Pool-.../dp/B000P0O17S I'd try replacing the pump seal before the pump unless you want to get a new one for other reasons.
