You don't want to use those tabs. They do have stabilizer in them, but they also have copper. You do NOT want copper in your pool. Contrary to popular belief, it is not chlorine that stains pool surfaces, fingernails and hair green; it is the copper!

We really need some good testing numbers to be able to advise you. If you don't have a good test kit, that would be the first order of business. We suggest the Taylor K-2006 or 2006C which you can get through the link in my signature below. (It won't be available locally.)
