Default Intex debris cover or solar cover

For my little 10' x 30" intex easy set pool I am wondering if just using a debris cover would help warm the pool? A solar cover would warm the pool better but not keep leaves, bugs, etc out.

It would help keep evaporation to a minimum and keep you from losing too much heat overnight so that would help. But, it won't really warm the water itself.

So if I want the water to be warm I should also put a solar cover on it? Leave both covers on it and remove the debris cover on sunny days to warm the water?

Yes, you can do that. I used to do that. The debris cover will need a pool cover drain--a simple siphon will work.

Thanks Carl. The cover I have has the drain holes in it so now I better buy the solar cover.
